Our clients are a diverse mix, but united in their praise of our work standards and approach
Macallan Penfold is a Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) UK Chartered Practice and is on the Register of Architects Accredited in Building Conservation.
The practice was established by Andrew Macallan in 1987, becoming a partnership in 1989 with Mark Penfold. In 1999 the practice became a limited company with the original partners becoming Directors. Philip Terry joined the practice in 1997 and became a Director in 2002.
The practice comprises four Chartered Architects (three of whom are also Directors), two architecturally trained assistants and one office administrator. Our staff comprises a team of people who have worked together in our practice and together elsewhere and have been picked for their high levels of knowledge and training.
Our Directors have individually gained reputations for sympathetic design solutions and have broad experience on projects in sensitive locations, requiring a high design input and a good knowledge of the planning process. This is complemented by a sound technical ability and practical knowledge of construction.
